Fleet Vehicle Management - Advanced

This programme represents the ultimate standard in professional fleet management, developed to equip senior professionals with the advanced knowledge, capability and leadership confidence required to lead complex fleet operations.

Fully revised for 2026, the programme reflects the rapidly evolving fleet landscape and is designed for those responsible for shaping strategic direction and delivering long-term organisational value.

Successful completion leads to Fellow (FAFP) membership of the Association of Fleet Professionals and is externally accredited by the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI).

This a one-week intensive, trainer-led programme delivered over 5 consecutive days.

The programme is delivered in a structured, workshop-led environment, enabling rapid skill development, knowledge consolidation and practical application.

A business case proposal is developed following the taught programme and submitted within 12 weeks for assessment.

The programme builds capability across four core areas: Fleet Strategy, Fleet Planning, Fleet Finance, Fleet Sustainability.

Participants will typically hold overall responsibility for fleet performance or operate in a strategic leadership role.

It is the natural progression from the Fleet Vehicle Management – Strategic Course and supports those advancing into senior leadership positions. (The Strategic course is not a pre-requisite for attending the Advanced course).

Returning Delegates

Those who completed the Advanced course prior to June 2026 (including under ICFM) may attend this updated programme at a reduced fee, without assessment.
